The Drum Leaf is a binding that uses only adhesive to connect the pages – no sewing. It opens flat and has flush edges, making it great for sketchbooks, journals, or artist books.
Invented by book artist Timothy Ely, the drum leaf binding is ideal for digitally printed photographs or traditional prints. The spine of the book lifts away when opening, allowing for easy viewing of the pages.
We’ll discuss paper and decorating techniques, and participants will go home with a completed book.
