Paste Paper Workshop
This paper decorating technique has been used for book covers and endsheets since the 16th century. A paint and paste mixture is applied to the paper with brushes, then patterned with an assortment of combs, tools, and stamps. We will make a variety of samples that can be used for books, boxes, origami, or as wrapping paper. Historical as well as contemporary patterns will be demonstrated.
Note: Students will have to return to pick up papers after they’ve dried overnight.
